WORKSHOPS:
Total time for
each participant is approximately 18-20 hours, to be spread over four
or more days.
COST:
$375.00 per person for a completed form including stand, plus travel expenses split between participants. There is a minimum of 5 participants for a workshop taking place more than 100 miles from Los Angeles.
Day
One: During the first day of the workshop, appointments will be set up for each participant to have a private wrap session. You will need to schedule approx. 1-1.5 hours each. You will wear your regular undergarments; they will not be ruined by the process.
Day
Two: During the second day of the workshop, each participant will put the halves of their form (cut off and dried during Day One) back together. Approximately 4-6 hours is needed for this process, as well as preparing the cast to pour the foam. Casts must be completely dry before pouring the foam. During the evening of Day Two the foam will be poured. Some help with this process is appreciated, but not all participants are required to stay the entire time. The forms will "set" overnight.
Day
Three: Participants tear away the
plaster cast (mold), cut a plywood base for the form, smooth the form,
remove all traces of the cast by filing it. Any "holes" will
be filled at this time (total time for the day = 6 to 7 hours).
Day Four: After final sanding and smoothing, the My Twin dressform or pantsform will then
be covered with fabric and ribbons (3 to 4 hours).
Supplies
and facilities necessary are: hot water source, restroom nearby,
room with hard, washable floor covering for "wrapping," and a well-ventilated area for foam pouring.
