Needless to say, a body must be present in order to make a custom My Twin dressform. While most of the work is done in Ventura, California, where the company is located, they can be made wherever we can get together. The cast is then usually taken to or shipped to Ventura for finishing and then shipped back to the recipient after the form is completed.

All dressforms must be glued to a plywood base to which the stand is then attached. Although the plywood is included in the cost of the completely finished dressform, the client must glue it to the foam form after delivery of the otherwise-finished or partially finished form. (If we feel sure your posture is perfectly duplicated in the form, the plywood will be glued onto it before shipping.)

Pantsforms come with a hanging rod already embedded in the foam form and are ready to hang on a special wall bracket (provided) or on a floor stand.

All completely finished forms are covered with an off-white rib-knit fabric with black ribbons to mark pattern alteration and fitting lines. However, a colored fabric of your choice may be substituted for the off-white if you prefer.
