We will meet at a mutually convenient location so that your body can be wrapped for the plaster cast mold.

If you will be in Los Angeles, or the Ventura, California area, we will be happy to meet you at your hotel to make the plaster cast. If you prefer that My Twin Dress Forms comes to your location, we can make arrangements for a convenient date and place to meet.

For either arrangement, all My Twin travel expenses including airfare, rental car, fuel, meals, hotel, and so forth, are the customer's responsibility, and are added to the cost of the form. If air travel is involved, the customer has the option to reimburse My Twin for the ticket purchase, or purchase the ticket themselves and send it to My Twin.

If you have several friends who also want a custom form, we can arrange a single date and location for all participants, who can then share the cost of My Twin's travel expenses.

Once we meet at the desired location, we make a plaster cast of your body by wrapping it with plaster bandage strips, similar to what is used on a broken arm. We let it dry, cut it apart and remove it from your body. It is then put back together to create a mold of your body. The wrap process is about 1-1.5 hours time.

The cast is then taken back or shipped to one of our studios for finishing. At this time we pour liquid polyurethane foam into the mold, which expands and becomes rigid. The plaster is removed. We cover the rigid foam in an off-white rib-knit fabric with black ribbons to mark pattern alteration and fitting lines. A colored fabric of your choice may be substituted for the off-white if you prefer to purchase it and send it to us.

The finished form will be shipped back to the customer after the form is completed (cost to ship varies by location).

Dressforms are shipped with an unattached plywood base that must be glued to the bottom of the form after double-checking the form for the correct posture (form posture can be checked by placing the form on a flat surface). The customer attaches the base to the form using any household glue, and then attaches the stand.

Pantsforms come with a hanging rod already embedded in the foam form and are ready to hang on a floor stand.

A combination form can be created which extends from neck to knee, and hangs from a threaded rod at the neck.

Custom forms:

Completely finished dressform, including plywood base, stand, and cover $750.00
Completely finished pantsform, including floor stand and cover $500.00
Completely finished combination form, including stand and cover $1250.00

Additional Costs:

Travel expenses - varies by meeting location TBD
Shipping - FedEx or UPS plus shipping materials and handling (varies by shipping location) appx. $65.00

A 50% deposit is required in order to begin a custom form. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the form, prior to shipping.

Payment must be made in U.S. dollars (Visa/Mastercard are accepted via PayPal). Credit card payments are accepted via PayPal only; checks will be accepted with mail-in orders. California residents add 7.25% sales tax.
